Many home designs today are more spacious and open. One of
the latest trends in kitchen design allows a certain amount of space between
the top of the cabinets and the ceiling. Most of this space measured anywhere
from about 18 to 24 inches deep.
Determine if a theme for the space you want. For example, if
the kitchen is decorating in a coffee house theme, the same design could be
easily carrying in the space above the kitchen cabinets. If a subject, leaving
the way opens / opened for an interpretative design that fits the theme of the
house in general space is not used.
