You can leave the wallpaper in place and paint over it, removing it would damage the wall if so old that cannot be remove easily or if there are multiple layers of wallpaper. The key to painting over the wallpaper is to prepare thoroughly before starting. Once done, you can cover the old and outdated wallpaper and improve the appearance of your home.

Instructions

  • Place rags protection in the area before starting. Remove any section of the wallpaper that is loose or detached.
  • Place clear or white caulk along the ceiling, baseboards, and moldings applied in a thin line. This will prevent the wallpaper is apparent after you apply the paint.
